Sweet Paris Creperie

Pete and I ventured down to Rice Village today and decided to finally check out Sweet Paris.  It was such a cute little creperie -- a vast improvement from the Texadelphia that used to be in its location.  I'm such an idiot though and forgot to take pictures of the actual crepes!  Oopsie!  We had a savory brie/turkey/grape/walnut crepe and a sweet very berry creme brulee crepe.  Of course we favored the sweet crepe!  I can't wait to try one of the Nutella crepes next.
Charming white/teal decor
LOVE the chandelier
Cute order numbers

NHL

Well we are 40% towards our goal!  On May 18th we went to the Rangers at Astros game for Pete's 28th birthday.  We were joined by my lovely mom and some great friends.  Our plan is to catch a Dynamo game soon (MLS), probably a Rockets game at some point (NBA) and a Stars game toward the end of the year (NHL).

Bountiful Baskets

Have any of you tried Bountiful Baskets?  We just got our first one this morning - we love it!

A little bit on how it works:
You sign up at www.bountifulbaskets.org - it's easy to create an account.  Each week you can choose to pre-order your basket from Monday at noon to Tuesday at ten.  There are lots of locations to choose from, so pick the one that is most convenient for you.  In Houston, it seems like they only offer baskets on "B" weeks, which is every-other week.  They will give you a pickup time for the following Saturday morning.  Volunteers are welcome (and encouraged) to show up one hour before pick up time to help sort food.  At pickup what do you get?  Food!  Half veggies and half fruit, always fresh and tasty.  All for $15.

This week, we got blackberries, strawberries, a whole honeydew, 4 bananas, 2 tomatoes, 3 avocados, 4 ears of corn, 2 zucchini, leafy greens and I am sure I'm missing something!  Check it out and see if there's one in your area.
