I'm going to NYC!
I have been wanting to visit Stacy in New York FOREVER. The kids are going to Disney next weekend, so last night just for shits and giggles I looked up flights to NYC using my frequent flyer miles. I found a ticket for only 25,000 miles and $10! What a steal. I am so excited to be going to visit Stacy in SIX DAYS!!!!
Valentine's Day
We had a great Valentine's day this year. I woke up to a sweet note on the mirror. For dinner we picked up a heart shaped pizza from PiPizza Truck and had a floor picnic in the living room. We decided to have a technology free night and played games instead. We exchanged cards and candy. It was lovely!
We exchanged gifts the weekend prior. Pete got me an amazing black Kate Spade satchel (on crazy good sale) and I got him a baseball and glove... Which is too small. Sad day. But at least I remembered he is a lefty!
Pete has been traveling a little for work. Luckily he usually flys up to Dallas and back on the same day so we don't have to spend any time apart so that's a blessing.
We are looking forward to:
-Austin this weekend
-time with friends next week
-hopefully some travel in our future

Update
Most of you know 2012 has had a rocky start for the Houston Morowskis. We have been to too many funerals and cried too many tears. We have had car troubles and (minor) health issues. We have aged these past six weeks. But, we are getting though it together - and with all of you. Thanks to all who have lent an ear, a thought or a prayer. We love you. We are looking forward to leaving these past few weeks behind and turning 2012 into something great.
Last week we bought a used Ford Escape Hybrid. So far we are really enjoying the car - and gas mileage!
Work is chugging along for both of us. Both kids are settling into the typical school routine along with dance & soccer. The kids' dad just proposed to his lovely future bride, Allison, and they're planning a wedding for May. We have quite a few weddings to look forward to this year.
In the coming weeks we have to decide if we are going to keep renting our current apartment or move somewhere new. It's a toss up right now, we'll keep you posted.
